Using 6 bulbs in 2-3 bulb fixtures on opposite walls in fair sized bath (9x9).
These bulbs take 3-4 minutes to warm up to their full brightness, gradually
going from very dim (think first daylight) to very bright, much brighter than
the incandescants they replaced (40watt). Looks to me like more candlepower and
possibly a higher color temperature than advertised. Pokey response is annoying
but when looking for a sliver or something in an eye they are great.

These globe light bulbs are terrible. Unlike the Phillips or the GE brands that are quiet, these TCP bulbs emit an annoying sound during operation. I recently purchased 2 of these and both light bulbs emit the same annoying sound. What a waste of money!
