CF bulbs contain mercury. EPA guidelines for cleaning up a broken bulb are unrealistic for the average homeowner with children. After doing the research, I have decided never to buy them.

The Feit [...]bulbs I intended the Sylvania bulbs to replace are larger and presumably will create more light. It's a shame neither of the bulbs' specifications tell you how large each bulb is. If I use these bulbs, along with the other bulbs, it will look weird because they are different sizes.

I tried the HD fluorescent bulbs of the same wattage and pin type, but didn't like because they look pink until they "warm up" - also the HD brand is a different tube configuration - it is 3 bulbs, but the 3 tubes are parallel. All the bulbs in my house look like these sylvania, so I was happy to find them here - the price is pretty good. White light by the way.

I purchased this bulb to replace one in my kitchen. Unfortunately this bulb doesn't produce the same color light as the others so now it stands out. It's a good bulb. I just wish I had known it wasn't going to match before hand.
