Weird Thread -- No Mounting Nuts.Apr 25, 2012
By Philip J. Taylor

These look like good lamp holders. The wires are nice and long. The price is good.
I ordered ~25 of these ... they did not come with mounting nuts ... The nuts are hard to find as they're an exotic thread 3/8-28.
But ... this is the common thread for Lamp Rod ... so don't look in the hardware department for the nuts--they'll be with the lamp rod. Good luck finding them for sale individually!

This little guy saved me from diging up my yardDec 22, 2010
By Gary L. Kennedy Hooray for the item and hooray for Amazon for marketing items like this that prevent people like us having to dig our yards up to replace old yard lights. I am very happy with this purchase.

Good replacementApr 23, 2011
By A. J. Freed Our outdoor lighting was very expensive and yet, used cheap plastic bayonet bases which eventually got brittle from the heat of the bulbs and which cracked when the bulb was removed.
These replacements arrived quickly and were exactly what was needed. The attached wires are more than ample, I had about 2 feet left over on each after installation. The unit is well constructed and should last the lifetime of our lighting. Makes me wonder how much the manufacturer saved on lights that sell for $150 each, that made it worth using crappy plastic bases.
