I tried to find a self ballasted lightbulb for my Ott-lite. I couldn't find one. I checked Amazon-com and I found it and it came quickly.

I recently moved and the movers must have tried to "unscrew" the bulb because it was missing when I unpacked. Of course, they didn't mention that to me. I went to Joann's where I actually bought the lamp, only to find that they don't carry the bulbs. What's up with that? I went to Ott online and that bulb was consistently "out of stock." In desperation, I tried Amazon, and voila! Should have thought of that first. The bulb came immediately, I put it in the lamp, and am back in business. Thanks, Amazon - to the rescue again.

The 20 watt Ott-self ballast compact florescent light bulb fits perfectly in my floor lamp. The factory installed bulb became loose and fell out while the lamp was being moved from my house to a nursing home. I could not find a replacement bulb locally; so I could not use my lamp at home. With th bulb from Amazon, I can do my close work without any eyestrain. The OTT bulb order came quickly and now I am enjoying the BRIGHT LIGHT.

When wife's quilting-lamp bulb burned out, we couldn't find a replacement at local stores--even those that sell Ott Lamps, but we found it at Amazon and bought two! Thanks, Amazon, for linking us to companies that have the product we need.

JoAnn sells Ott lights in the store but not the bulb. I was releaved to find a bulb to my floor lamp.
