I think LEDs are great... they consume very little power and SHOULD last a long time. That has not been my experience with these. I purchased a pair of these a year ago. One stopped working entirely after 3 months. The other started out adequately bright, but quickly dimmed to a mere fraction of a lumen... bright enough to locate the light itself in a dark room, but not bright enough to illuminate any surrounding objects.

The price is good and the lights work great. I own numerous lights. They are also pretty sturdy (my one year old daughter spent time knocking one around and it still works)

Sure, these worked great when I bought them about 2 years ago. The main reason I bought these were because of the lifetime warranty. I was tired of replacing incandescent bulbs and those electroluminescent lights just aren't quite bright enough. These seemed like the perfect solution. I bought a total of six lights and after 2 years, maybe a little less, every single one has crapped out. The last one is flickering in the dark kitchen and is about to expire which is what inspired me to write this review. I just fired off an email to the manufacturer about these. I wonder if I'll hear from anyone. I hope they dont ask for the original receipt.... who saves recipts for trivial little things like this for 2 years? I'll post another review if the manufacturer makes good on the warranty or if they tell me I'm SOL because I don't have a sales receipt. Maybe I'll have to box them up and send them back ($$$ out of my pocket). Maybe I'll have to pay shipping on replacements. Maybe I'll just never hear from anyone. We shall see.
I will say that these night lights are constructed very well, mechanically that is. Electrically they aren't so good. One failure... I might have accepted, but not every last one of them.
Bottom line: if you are thinking about buying these because you think you'll be getting something you won't have to worry about for a long time.... well you just might be disappointed a year or so down the road.
Stay away from this one. Buy the Cooper Lighting #HS8, right here on Amazon instead.

Perfect light for moving around at night from room to room; just the right amount of illumination is offered from the blue LED's. Not harsh on the eyes but gives off enough light that you don't have to strain your eyes.

I bought these last week and came a few days ago so shipping was fairly quick. They do give off a nice blue glow, but not as bright as the picture shows. Its a bit less bright than your standard candlescent night lights. However, the sensor on these are properly designed so it actually turns off when its bright, dims when its dark. Since these are leds, they are either on or off. My old automatic night lights keep flickering, which caused its own early demise (two of them). I just wish they made a two or three led night light in a small package.
