Needed lightbulbs for Near Infrared Sauna I'm building.Jul 10, 2009
By R. Carthel I needed infrared lightbulbs for a near infrared sauna I'm building (as per Lawrence Wilson, who recommends SLi, Phillips, or GE brand lightbulbs). I did quite a bit of research looking for good quality bulbs for a good price. These really fit the bill. Excellent price, shatterproof from moisture splash, extra long life. I couldn't be more pleased with this product. So happy this product is available, because I expect it is going to have an excellent impact on my health and several others in my family. Comparable item at Home Depot was $10 per bulb plus tax. These SLi bulbs are a really good deal. I did temporarily purchase one of the Phillips bulbs from Home Depot, and verified the filament appears the same in both. This was important to know that they do indeed flood the light rays over a broad area, with not too focused a beam for my purposes in the sauna.

The Right Heat LampAug 20, 2010
By Eric the Halibut I had a lamp just like this one for more years than I could ever have expected - must be about 8, believe it or not. It came with a complete reptile keepers set-up I got from a reptile keeper at a zoo. It was super and when it finally died, I was looking for the exact replacement. This is a different brand than I had but it's exactly the same lamp - 250W, silver backing, etc. When my original lamp finally went, I tried some other lamps but they weren't the same. My snake actually got sick and lethargic under them, so I'm glad to have this one. The snake is now back to his/her perky self. I look forward to it performing as well as the original.

250w heat lampFeb 10, 2011
By Skyken The bulb is designed to give off heat and it does. It's only 250 watts so I don't feel bathed in heat but I do feel it takes the chill off me after I've gotten out of the shower. Price was reasonable and quality looks good.

awesomeDec 15, 2011
By Stevena English I bought this because I read they are therapeutic and for 9.95, I thought what the heck. I am cold a lot of the time during the winter. Not with this thing hanging over my head. I turned it on and suddenly knew what lizards in an aquarium feel like! It was like ahhh, warmth like no other and relatively inexpensive to use.
