In our home we have a lot of light fixtures that take this sort of CFL bulb, with the 4 pins rather than the usual "edison" screw in base.
With the screw base, you have many great choices for bulbs, with different light spectra, dimmables, etc. With the 4pin type you have only a few choices. In this one, the "2700k" refers to the "temperature" of the light. The lower the number, the "warmer" the light. The default bulbs our fixtures came with are 3500K, and the light is blueish, which is ugly and industrial seeming. These 2700 bulbs are notably warmer/yellower, and closer to a traditional incandescent bulb. (Not that close, but closer.)
