The item shipped fast and came as described. I was able to install it easily and it has worked for almost one year now. It saved me the cost of having my lamp repaired or paying the expensive price that halogen lamps cost now.

The actual socket I received has 2 slots on each side of metal strip for mounting and the metal strip is raised in the center with a threaded hole. The one I received was actually rated 1000 Watt 250 volt, but the 500 Watt bulbs fit fine. The ends were ceramic and it has about 6 inches of high temperature leads already attached. I am happy with them. They fit fine as delivered. Fixed Craftsmen light.

The mounts replaced the old ones just fine. Using 500w bulbs with no issues. Some were rated to 120v 1000w.
