The light works great. It fits over the top of my laptop, so I can use it in the morning while I review my email. The cord is a good length too, so it can reach to my powerstrip below the desk. It's lightweight, so it's easy to position it. I thought it would be more "wobbly" on the little legs, and it is a little wobbly, but its really not an issue.
Naturally, as soon as it arrived, our dark grey clouds have given way to sun and blue skies... But I'm excited to have it ready for next winter and will start using it regularly in October to get ahead of my wintertime depression.

I never thought a "light" could do much more than help you to see. Boy Oh Boy! Was I wrong. I've been using this light for a week now and already I notice changes. I have a little more energy in the morning. I feel better. I look forward to sitting under it for my 30 min session. It has two settings. I use the brighter setting. Also, there were some comments about a smell? Since I have taken it out of the box and used it I have not noticed any odor, ever. It is tall enough to fit over things on my desk. It is large, but for what it accomplishes it's so worth it. WELL worth the money to lift me out of feeling horrible.

We bought this S.A.D. light about a month ago. Good quality at a very good price. It is on our dining room table, everyone uses it for 20 minutes in the morning. A like and comparable one at a medical store was $300. It shipped when it said it would with no damages.

I bought this for my wife in December of 09. After using for 2 months she is much less depressed, and not affected by our cloudy Febuary weather here in Illinois. We would highly recommend the lamp to anyone who suffers from SAD. It works! Well worth the money.

This has helped to give me more energy, ease depression from the death of my brother and a father with Alzheimer's Disease, and it has helped to regulate my circadian rhythms so I am sleeping better. I read about light therapy in the book, "The Depression Cure." It has restored a big piece of the missing link in helping to solve my insomnia and depression naturally. I recommend the book and this product if you are suffering from similar symptoms.
