5Excellent Quality light Instant on just beware of size its bigger than your headApr 23, 2008
By Robert Salazar
These bulbs are great for late night study, you may not even notice it's dark out. Only warning is on the size of the bulbs, It is 12 inches long and the base has a diameter of 4 inches so plan accordingly (a $1 extender can get around the wide base if need be)

5Great lighting source for video ...Nov 10, 2008
By Tim Warneka "Leadership Expert, Keynote Speaker, Author -BLACK BELT LEADER, PEACEFUL LEADER: AN INTRODUCTION TO CATHOLIC SERVANT LEADERSHIP"
I'm shooting some video in my home studio and needed more lighting. I bought one of these bulbs, along with an extender and one of those inexpensive bowl-like shop light fixtures from the local Big Box hardware centers.

I got great lighting for far less cost than buying a pro lighting unit!

5Excellent Natural Colored LightOct 18, 2008
By Doan N. Tran
Very bright fluorescent light that only uses the fraction of power of a halogen 500W. The size of the bulb, however, means that you will need a big light cover/shade to tone down the direct amount of lumens. This light is a great replacement for those who love the brightness that 500W halogens deliver but want to save money and the environment.

I have 20 plus of these bulbs in my shop; we used them to replace old florescent fixtures. We like that they are self contained with the starter and are very bright. We had one go out after six months; the rest have stayed on for nine or more months.

5Eiko CFLJul 12, 2011
By Daniel M. Walker
I've been changing out my warehouse overhead lights over the past 3 or 4 years with these CFL's. They really brighten up the place, with a great saving in energy costs. The light is whiter than the incandescents I have been replacing, which makes for better working conditions. I have had a couple arrive that did not work, which were quickly replaced by the vendor, but I have not had any go bad once installed. I even put a couple in my garage at home - what a difference. Highly recommend.
