I bought this light bulb for depression and sleeping troubles related to my circadian rhythm. I've only had the bulb for two days, so I can't really say definitively yet whether it's helping these problems, but I must say that this light is absolutely gorgeous. I will never go back to standard light bulbs again! It has made a tremendous impact on the atmosphere and appeal of my room. So much so, in fact, that I would say this aspect has definitely improved my mood. Can't recommend enough.

I bought this light bulb after doing research about Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). A light bulb of 5000K was recommended around the house during the winter to simulate natural sunlight. The bulb was so bright it was like looking directly at the sun, even though the bulb was inside a frosted glass light fixture. This light is great for plants, but too bright for normal use or for SAD.
