This is just what I was looking for. I tried to purchase the replacesment bulb at 4 different local stores and could not find one. that's when I decided to check out amazon.com, and there it was, cheap with cheap shipping and it arrived really fast. Much easier than driving all around town for something that can not be found. love amazon!!

We were buying (overpriced) bulbs from the big home centers (Lowes and Home Depot)...they would only last a week or two and cost $5 or $6 each! I ordered several of these from Amazon. Installed the first one the first week of December, 2011, and it's still going strong! I despise the sorry light bulbs that the retailers are selling these days.....
Good bulb for GE microwave...Feb 15, 2012

I've been looking for replacement bulbs for my over-the-stove GE microwave that lasts more than 2 weeks and doesn't cost $10+ per bulb. The original bulbs were rated at 130 volts and lasted for 8+ years. The replacements I found locally were rated at 120V and only lasted 2 weeks to 1 month tops. I've tried three different brands and none lasted very long. So far, these bulbs have lasted a 2+ months at a price far cheaper than what is available locally. If you need bulbs for your GE microwave, this might be the ticket.
I chose 25 watt bulbs over 40 watt because 40 watt was too bright. Our microwave does not have multiple light settings, just on or off.
