Reasonably good looking intermediate bulbsJan 01, 2010
By R. Yarbrough I've been having trouble finding intermediate bulbs locally for a ceiling fan. On a whim, I tried amazon and found these. They were much cheaper than the bulbs I found locally at Target, which were more like appliance bulbs.
These bulbs have a very good soft white glow, and look better than I thought they would. But they are no match for the variety of looks you will get in small base. I understand you can convert intermediate base to small base with base converters. One is available on Amazon (Intermediate to Candelabra Socket Reducer), but as of my review they are expensive and the reviewers say the shipping cost is exorbitant. Considering the life of the ceiling fan, I can't make the leap to these (and I don't know what they look like installed).
So if you are looking for simple soft-glow intermediate bulbs for a ceiling fan, this is a good choice at a reasonable price.
Great BulbsNov 28, 2011
By pro-gadgeter I bought a celing fan with light from home depot, and after i hung it, I realized that it doesn't use regular bulbs. The ones that came with it were very dim and the room always looked dark at night. So at first I was little skeptical of these bulbs since they are not name brand but i was wrong. These are really bright bulbs and long lasting as well. Don't get thrown off because its not name brand. They do everything you expect them to do.

Not as advertised!Jan 25, 2012
By Jenna M. I purchased one each of the Satco ceiling fan 60 Watt A15 intermediate base clear and frosted light bulbs. The frosted bulb was advertised as:
Technical Details Shape: A15 60 Watts Base: E17 / Intermediate (.642" Diameter) Finish: Frosted Volts: 120
Guess what? They are both NOT 120 volts. It clearly says on the box 130 volts. I purchased these bulbs, over other 60 watt 130 volt bulbs, due to the fact that the manual for my ceiling fan says NOT to exceed 120 volt bulbs. I do not want to deal with taking the time or money to return these mostly because I couldn't find ANY other bulbs that were 60 watt, 120 volts, and intermediate base. I am hoping that nothing catches fire or explodes due to the extra 10 volts (wish me luck!). There goes 3 stars.
I'm giving these bulbs 2 stars because they actually fit in my ceiling fan (they WERE intermediate base) and they arrived quickly and were packaged well and minimally.
