I was looking for a replacement for an amber 25 watt bulb that had burned out. This one isn't going to work. Wish I hadn't opened the box so I could just ship it back. It's red not amber.

I bought these bulbs and was a little worried because of the reviews saying they were red. They are not. They are a very pretty amber color. I was very pleased with the product and the shipping was fast. No casualties either!!

I bought some of these lights some time back for my back yard. I was interested in providing some light on my patio without the glare of regular lights. They are very nice when lit. The amber color is very pretty, and they look quite pronounced among other regular lights, or the common yellow bug lights. Also, I have had these now for over a year and not one is yet to burn out, and so far none of the amber color has seemed to fade in any way. They may cost a little more than regular bulbs but they are quality made in my opinion. About the only downside to these bulbs I have found is the fact that they are only available in 25 watts which provide very little light. Count on three of these to provide the equivalent of a regular 40 watt bulb, at least. They are definitely a better choice for their looks and ambiance then for true practical lighting purposes. In conclusion, as long as you understand the limitations of their actual lighting, these are quality bulbs that are very hard to find in stores and I recommend them right here on Amazon where they always seem to be available...
