5good Universal Fluorescent BallastFeb 24, 2010
By C. Johnson
Product, Universal 24214 B234SR120M-A000I T12 Fluorescent Ballast ordered through Amazon and shipped by Sheraden Lighting & Electrical, works fine and was a good buy. Wiring (shown in diagram on product) is clear but differed from that of my old magnetic ballast that it replaced. This new ballast is smaller and lighter, so at least one new mounting screw in the fixture may be needed. The new ballast gets the lamps (2 48" T12) illuminated much faster than what it replaced did, and has breathed new life into an otherwise aged fixture. (Old ballast was replaced due to light no longer being reliable and subsequent discovery that black goo was oozing out when it was warm.)

3Good - Not ExcellentDec 21, 2010
By Errant Shopper
I was under the impression that an electronic ballast would be free of that annoying humm that magnetic ballasts emit. Nope, not true of this product. I bought six of these. They all worked. They were easy to install. The lights come on without any flicker. But, the NoIsE !

5Much better priced than my local hardware storeMay 19, 2010
By E. McClintock "setfreebYthebloodofJesus"
These are just as great with the same brand name as home depot or any other hardware store, we needed 5 cause we procrasinated on a few floresent lights that have been not working in a couple of yrs and more were starting to show problems, thats what happens when you have high priced local stores for this kind of item, these are working awsomely.

Ordered 2 ballast on Aug. 10; received them on Aug. 14th. Installed both today (Aug 14th)and they work great. Quick service and better price than local.

5Perfect Replacement!May 25, 2011
By R. Calabro "slipgate"
You can't beat this for the price. It worked perfectly as a replacement for my $200 aquarium compact flourescent (CF) light that I was about to throw away. The wiring was slightly different that the original but it has a diagram printed on the case that makes it easy. MUCH better than buying the $100 one from the manufacturer!
